DRUG TRAFFIC
ARRESTS BY THE FRENCH AUTHORITIES. IN PARIS AND THE MIDDLE EAST. PARIS, July 29. Eight Lebanese have been arrested in Paris, Alexandretta and Beirut in a clean-up of drug traffickers. Consignments of ninety pounds of hashish were seized in Alexandretta, hidden in merchandise. It is reported that the arrests are connected with that of Isaac Leifer, a Brooklyn rabbi who was detained in Paris last week and who was alleged Ho be carrying heroin secreted in a Bible.
