BIRTHDAY PARTY
MISS M. McGREGOR HONOURED. Miss M. McGregor was the guest of honour at a very enjoyable birthday party held at the residence of Mrs J. Gray, College Street, on Saturday night. Among those present were Mesdames E. Henderson, L. C. Sylvester, W. J. Campbell, Misses M. McGregor, N. Wilson, C. Cairns, G. Allen, Taylor, I. Grant, E. Edwards, Tankersley, J. Douglas, V. Keith, J. McKenzie, N. Brown Items were given by Miss B. Taylor (song), Miss Coyla Cairns (recitations), and Mrs Sylvester (songs). At a suitable interval Miss Ella Edwards presented Miss McGregor with a beautiful bouquet of daphne and fern, the artistic work by Miss Jessie McKenzie. She was also presented with a beautiful cup and saucer as a small token of the esteem in which she is held by her friends, x-usical honours were accorded Miss McGregor, who suitably responded. In the dining room a birthday cake held pride of place.
