TROOPS ASSISTING POLICE RENEWED FIGHTING IN STREETS. "SWIFT STABS AND SPORADIC LOOTINQ.” By Telegraph— Press Association. Copyright. RANGOON, July 29. The police are attempting to evacuate Burmese from the Indian quarters of the city, and vice versa. Fighting ■ has been renewed in the streets, and, despite the presence of patrols from the Yorkshire Light Infantry and armoured cars, it is impossible to prevent swift stabs in the dark and sporadic looting. Banks and jewellers are heavily guarded. The troops have been instructed to shoot to kill any rioters. POLICE FIRE ON RIOTERS. SIX PERSONS WOUNDED. (Recd This Day, 10.10 a.m.) RANGOON, July 29. The police fired on rioters, wounding six.
