PIRINOA
GUN CLUB MEETING. (“Times-Age" Special.) The South Wairarapa Gun Club held its final day’s competition on Saturday. The conditions were ideal and good shooting was the order of the day. In the first match of 15 birds, N. Prussing, of Martinborough, and B. Brough, Lake Ferry, secured the possible. The runner-up was the veteran, R. Buick, who, shooting off 22 yards, obtained 14 birds. In the sweepstake match, of 9 birds four competitors secured the possible. The youthful lan Sutherland again shot consistently. N. Prussing has also shot with remarkable success during the series. It is needless to comment on the shooting of R. Buick, and his knowledge of the finer points of the game has been unselfishly given to new members. A. Warren is another competitor who will go far in the sport, and if only he would concentrate more he should quickly reach top class. G. Sutherland and S. Hall, the latter particularly, shot consistently, and will improve. The scores were: — First match (15 birds):—N. Prussing, 14yards, score 15; B. Brough 11, 15; R. Buick 22, 14; G. Sutherland 15, 13; C. McLeod 11, 13; I. Sutherland .14, 13; S. Hall 15, 12; K. McLeod 11, 12; F. Brough 11, 12; M. McLeod 11, 11; N. Swanson 11, 9. Second match (9 birds):—N.
