MEASLES PREVALENT

POSITION IN MASTERTON. Measles have become more prevalent in Masterton in the last week or so, but the position is in no way alarming. The attendance at the Masterton Central School is about 85 per cent, though at the East Side School considerably more than half the children are away. Measles alone are not responsible for all the absentees, however, as influenza, bad colds and chicken pox are more or less prevalent. Attendances are also affected at the Lansdowne and West Schools.
