INDIAN TEAMS TOUR. FEILDING OUTCLASSED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, July 27. Completely outclassed' in every department of the game, the Feilding representative hockey team went down by 10 goals to nil against the touring Indian team at Feilding today. Heavy rain had fallen all the morning, rendering the ground soft and muddy. This fact helped to keep the score against Feilding down. Dazzling stickwork and control of the ball by the Indians had the Feilding men nonplussed times without number and only the sterling defence of the goalkeeper, Whiteman, prevented many more goals. The Indians rapidly adapted themselves to the muddy ground, exploiting the push shot to full advantage in passing rushes against which the orthodox methods of Feilding were fruitless. Play was fast throughout, with drizzling rain keeping the ground slippery. The attendance was large despite the rain. SECOND TEST MATCH. NEW ZEALAND SELECTION. WELLINGTON, This Day. The team chosen to represent New Zealand in the second hockey Test match against Prince of Manavadar’s

Indian team at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, on Saturday is much the same as that which met the Indians at Christchurch on July 23, and is said to be the youngest side ever chosen to represent the Dominion. The average age of the players is between 23 and 24 years. The following are the New Zealand players selected to go into training for the match: Goal, L. Hart (Manawatu); backs, D. S. Wilson (Wellington), H. Jones (Auckland), F. S. Clark (Auckland: half-backs, W. Bowden (Canterbury), T. Burtt (Canterbury), D. Loader (Canterbury), L. Watson (Auckland); forwards, N. Bowden (Canterbury), R. Watchman (Poverty Bay), R. Roughton (Auckland), M. Browne (Wellington), G. S. Botting (Otago), and C. J. Edwards (Wellington).
