FORMER RULER DEAD
PRINCE OF LIECHTENSTEIN. LONDON, July 26. The death has occurred of Prince Franz I of Liechtenstein, aged 84, who on March 31 renounced the throne in favour of Prince Francis Josef, aged 31. At that time the Diet, voicing the fears of the principality as the result of the annexation of Austria by Germany, passed a resolution in favour of independence and fidelity in the reigning House and adherence to treaties.
