ST. MATTHEW’S SCOUTS
ANNUAL MEETING HELD LAST NIGHT. GOOD PROGRESS IN ALL SECTIONS. The reports presented at the annual meeting of the St Matthew’s Scout Group last night showed that good work was being accomplished in all sections of the group while the financial position was very satisfactory. The Rev E. J. Rich, president, who occupied the chair, expressed his pleasure of the progress made in the group generally. The numbers of Scouts and Cubs had increased and the finances of the group were most satisfactory. Officers were elected as follow: President, the Rev E. J. Rich; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames H. G. Moser, B. V. Skeet, N. Beetham, Miss K. Morrison, Messrs S. L. P. Free, W. A. Clarke, G. L. Thomas, J. V. Dolan, A. Askew, W. Marchbank; committee, Mrs G. C. L. Dickel, Messrs W. L. Hunter,. A. M. Sanson, H. Braggins. G. C. L. Dickel, and a representative of the ladies’ committee; auditor, Mr A. D. Low; secretary, Mr Alan Green. Mr Hunter was re-elected chairman of the group committee. It was stated that patrol leaders and senior sixers would assist at the meeting to be held in Masterton on Monday by the Citizens’ Cathedral Appeal Committee.
