AN ENJOYABLE FUNCTION A very pleasant function took place when Mrs E. Smith entertained a number of guests at her residence at a “linen afternoon” z in honour of her sister Miss Belle Buckeridge, whose marriage will take place shortly. The drawing room was tastefully decorated with bulbs and matipo. Mrs Smith was attired in. figured silk and Miss Buckeridge in blue and grey. After the guests had been provided with afternoon tea Miss Buckeridge , was called upon to open the many linen parcels.
