DRUIDS’ LODGE

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. There was a good attendance at the fortnightly meeting of Stonehenge Lodge last night. A vote of condolence was passed to the relatives of the late Bro C. H. Mellsop who died recently at Papakura, the members observing a two-minutes silence. Reports were received on the Hospital Association, Friendly Societies’ Dispensary, Card Team, and Bowling Tournament. The Bards reported on the sick brethren on the funds. Accounts amounting to £146 2s were passed for payment. It was resolved to invite Totara Lodge to a social evening and to issue a challenge to the Oddfellows’ Lodge to a game of indoor bowls. The Druids’ card team were congratulated on winning the shield for the current year. P.D.P. Bro P. S. Clarke presented the shield to the Lodge on their behalf.
