GOLD FROM SEA WATER
JAPANESE CHEMIST’S CLAIM. (Recd This Day, 10 a.m.) TOKIO, July 25. Dr Hiroshisuzuki, a research chemist to the Finance Ministry, claims to have discovered a process for extracting gold and silver from sea water as well as other products including caustic soda, muriatic acid, bromine and magnesium. The Meiji Mining Company is building a £48,000 plant at Misaki and is beginning production in September.
