INDOOR BOWLS
MASTERTON CLUB. KENNARD AND CURTIN LEAD IN PAIRS CONTEST. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club continued its pairs competitions last Wednesday. Kennard and Curtin still hold the leading position with ten wins and two losses. The following are the results: —Kennard 16 beat Edwards 5, Thompson 25 beat Davies 12, Fenton 12 beat Lewis 10, Joyce 18 beat Vincent 17, Reeves 13 beat Ferguson 11, Pickering 23 beat C. Roff 8. On Thursday night the club entertained members from the Red Star Clubs, who provided four rinks. The results were as follow (Masterton players being mentioned first in each case): —Finlayson’s rink defeated L. Roff’s, Kennard’s rink defeated; Cross’s, Fenton’s rink lost to Wearne’s, Cackander’s rink defeated Peterson's. The following are the games arranged for this week: —Tuesday.—7 p.m.: No. 1, Ferguson v. Pickering; No. 2, Lewis v. Hendry. 8 p.m.: No. 1, Kennard v. Reeves; No. 2, L. Roff v. Vincent. 9 p.m.: No. 1, L. Roff v. Leigh; No. 2, Dixon-v. Fenton. Wednesday.— 7 p.m.: No. 1, Thompson v. Vincent; No. 2, Edwards v. Joyce. 8 p.m.: No. 1, Finlayson v. Hendry; No. 2, Davies v. Pickering. 9 p.m.: No. 1, C. Roff v. Davies; No. 2, Reeves v. Lewis. Players are asked to note the times of their games. _
