WAIRARAPA CLUB’S MEETING. TWO STAKES DECIDED ON SATURDAY. The Wairarapa Coursing Club held its sixth meeting of the season at the Akura Enclosure on Saturday in perfect weather. There was a large attendance of spectators. Two events were decided. The Kerslake Trophy (for maiden dogs) was won by Mr T. Greig, of Hastings, with Boston Bill, while the Cooper Challenge Cup (open) went to Mr J. A. Taylor, of Eketahuna, with The Clipper. Although 23 courses were held during the afternoon only one hare failed to reach the escapes, while in the last three meetings, during which 49 courses were held, there were only three kills. The hares on Saturday were in exceptionally fine fettle. , Detailed results are as follow:— Kerslake Trophy (maiden dogs). First round: S. A.
