APPOINTMENT OF WOMEN PREACHERS METHODIST CONFERENCE PROPOSAL LONDON, July 17. . “Admission of women to the ministry might stop the rot in Methodism and the experiment profoundly encourage the churches,” declared the Rev. Donald Soper, at the Methodist conference today, which approved a report recommending that women candidates be permitted, provided a department of the church undertook the responsibility of their support throughout their ministry.
