WANGANUI SAVAGES

PARTY VISITS MASTERTON. A party of 52 members of the Wanganui Savage Club visited the Masterton Savage Club during the weekend. A welcome was extended on their arrival by the Chief of .the local club, Mr E. J. Jenkins and the members of the executive. Mr Arthur Pritchard, Chief of the Wanganui Club, was in charge of the visitors. In the evening the Wanganui Savages put on a delightful entertainment iri the Savage Club rooms, the programme including songs, sketches, hakas and orchestral items. Yesterday the Masterton Savages had their turn at entertaining at a gathering held, on the Opaki Racecourse, where several sketches and •other items were stage®“’A‘ tug-of-war was won by the visitors, who returned home after lunch. : ~
