MASTERTON GUN CLUB
CLAY BIRD AGGREGATE. WIN FOR JAMES McKENZIE. The Masterton Gun Club conducted the last shoot for the clay bird aggregate on Saturday afternon. The final contest produced some brilliant shooting by the winner, Jim McKenzie, who although a bird down at the commencement of the shoot, broke every bird with the first barrel and defeated his brother, Jack, by one bird in the grand total. Shooters were pleased to see a young competitor, who has been a trier for several years, shoot his way to top position in the club. The following were the leading scores: —.
Next Saturday the clay championship of the club will be held. All competitors will stand on 16 yards and fire at 30 birds.
