QUINOPAL WINS STEEPLES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIMATE, July 16. The Waimate Hunt Club’s annual steeplechase meeting was favoured with fine, sunny weather. The track was rather heavy owing to the recent abnormal wet- spell. The totalisator handled £4781 10s, against £5613 10s last year. Results: — Amateur Cup Steeplechase, about 2 miles and a half. —1 Last Post, 11.6 (Jones) 1; 3 Harkaway, 11.5 (Westenra) 2; 4-Royal Raid, 11.0, car 11.7 (Goulding) 3.
