With the intensive competition at Home, the letter added, it is essential that everything possible be done to maintain and improve the quality of our export lambs. With a view to encouraging those who entered for the competition the board had decided to .make certain alterations in the. conditions, the principal ones being, (1) to make a grant of £lO to the controlling A. and P. Reporting on the discussions at the recent Royal Society conference, Mr Gordon Lee said they all regretted that nothing had’ been done to remedy the position in- which the Wairarapa Association was placed as the result of the Royal Show dates clashing with the Carterton dates. He urged all members to give the utmost support to the Wairarapa Show this year.
