CARDS AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The usual South Featherston euchre and dance held on Thursday night, was well attended. The winners were: — Euchre: Ladies, Mrs. Mellish 1, Miss Nix 2; men, Mr. H. Stark 1, Mr. J. Rewai 2. Monte Carlo: Mr. A. Wilton and Miss M. Tait 1; Mr. Fuge and Miss Reid 2. GIRL GUIDE CAMP. The stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club have granted the Girl Guides’ Association permission to hold a Dominion Camp on the Tauherenikau racecourse in January. It is anticipated that there will be an attendance of between 500 and 600, DAIRY APPOINTMENTS. Mr H. E. Rankin has been appointed dairy instructor in the WoodvillePahiatua district. Mr Rankin has been 14 years manager at the Bidwill dairy factory at Pihautea. ,• RACING CLUB MEETING. The annual general meeting of the members of the Wairarapa Racing Club will be held in the club building, Featherston, on Thursday,- August 25, at 2 p.m.
