DEMAND FOR WOOL
RATES FIRMLY MAINTAINED. (Recd This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON,' July 15. At the wool sales 8,573 bales were offered, including 2,168 from New Zealand, and 7,547 were sold. There was a good selection and stronger competition owing to an improved Continental demand for Merinos. Rates were firmly maintained.
