COSY THEATRE
“PRESCRIPTION FOR ROMANCE.” When motion picture scientists combine equal parts of Mischa Auer and Frank Jenks, add a spicy dash of Wendy Barrie and Kent Taylor, then pour into the mixer a colourful foundation of gay love-making and wild which provides drama, romance and what the doctor ordered in “Prescription For Romance,” the romantic comedy which will be shown tonight at the Cosy Theatre. Most of the action of the story is laid in Budapest Hungary, where a New York embezzler has fled to escape the clutches of the law and a sweetheart. Also screening on this fine programme is a feature that will be enjoyed by both young and old of both sexes, “Men of Yesterday,” in which famous artists appear in the variety turns that made them famous. Ella Shields, George Robey, Will Fyffe and others appear and the story is one which provides drama, romance and comedy. Another interesting item is “Thunder Over the Orient,” which depicts vivid scenes of the Eastern War.
