HONOUR FOR SIR THOMAS WILFORD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Sir Thomas Wilford, until lately chairman of the Council of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of the British Empire, has received advice that Viscount Elibank and he himself have been elected vice-presi-dents of the federation. Viscount Elibank was formerly president of the federation and his successor in that office is the Rt. Hon. the Earl of Dudley. Sir Thomas Wilford was for seven years chairman of the council and resigned when he decided to remain in New Zealand. Sir Granville Gibson, M.P., who took a prominent part in the federation conference held in New Zealand in 1936, has now been elected chairman of the council. Sir Thomas Wilford has also received an invitation to attend a conference of the federation executive to be held in London next year.
