Praise for the efficiency of the Government Tourist Bureau and Union Airways was given by Dr C. C. Fulmer, of San Francisco, who is spending 16 days in New Zealand. “I arrived in Auckland on Friday and told the bureau that I wished to see as much of New Zealand as possible. I returned to the bureau that day and found that a most comprehensive tour had been worked out for me. I have tickets for everything and need carry very little money. The service equals that of Italy, where tourists are met on the stations by English-speaking guides. I felt safer flying down to Christchurch from Auckland than I ever do on the Pacific Coast, where the currents are tricky. The skilful pilots are backed by a wonderful record for safety. I should think that New Zealand was one of the safest flying countries in the world.”
Today “The Farmers” are making a feature of their famous “Q.V.” suits for spring, in their change of advertisement in today’s issue.
