FEILDING SALE PRICES FAIRLY FIRM (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, July 15. More than 2000 fat sheep, of which 1000 were ewes, saturated the market at the Feilding stock sale today. Prices however, remained fairly firm for all fat stock. There was only a small entry of cattle. Breeding ewes sold fairly well. The range of prices was as follows: — Fat Sheep: Extra prime lambs, 22s -j. 8d to 245; prime, 19s lOd to 21s 2d; lighter, 15s 4d to 18s 3d; prime heavy wethers,_26s 3d to 27s 9d; prime, 25s to 265; average sorts, 23s 9d to 24s 9d; unfinished, from 225; ewes, 17s Id; prime maiden fat ewes 25s 3d to 265; good ewes, 17s Id to 18s; light unfinished, 12s 9d to 15s 9d. Store sheep: Good five-year in-lamb ewes, 25s Id to 265; backward, 19s; best four and five-year, 27s 4d; others, 25s 4d; small two-tooth ewes, 23s 6d; backward ewe lambs, 15s 6d; backward b.f. lambs, 8s to 9s 3d; well-grown w.f. wether lambs, 16s to 17s 4d; fair sorts, 13s 3d to 15s 6d; small, 9s Id to 12s 9d. Store cattle: Boner cows, heavy, £3 to £3 19s; others, £2 5s to £2 17s 6d; weaner Jersey heifers, £3 5s to £3 8s 6d; empty heifers, £3 10s to £4 10s; small yearling steers, £3. Fat cattle: Light prime bullocks, £9 10s to £lO ss; second grade, £8 5s to £9; station cows, best, £7 12s 6d to £8 ss; second quality, £6 5s to £7 10s; P.A. heifers, £6 17s 6d to £8 10s; prime runners, £5 17s 6d; vealers, £1 10s to £2. / .. Dairy cattle: Spring heifers, near profit, £8 2s 6d to £9 ips; later calvers, £4 5s to £7 7s 6d; springing cows, best, £6 10s to £8; others, £4 to £6; cows in milk, £7; heifers in milk, £3 10s. Pigs; Slips, 19s 6d to £1 Is; weaners, 14s 6d to 15s; stores, £1 to £1 6s; sow £3 17s 6d.
