MOTOR DRIVER FINED FOR INTOXICATION IMPRISONMENT NARROWLY ESCAPED . (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ' ' WAIPUKURAU, This Day. William McKenzie Angus, building contractor, of Napier, was fined £4O, with costs £l, and his license was cancalled for a period of one year’ in the Magistrate’s Court this inorning at Waipukurau, on a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a car. The case was a sequel to a collision last Sunday on the main highway near Takapau. The magistrate said defendant had narrowly escaped imprisonment.
