DAVIS CUP TENNIS
AUSTRALIANS IN U.S.A. TEAM IN GOOD CONDITION AND SPIRITS. (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) KANSAS CITY, July 14. The Australian Davis Cup players arrived in excellent condition and in good spirits. Hopman expressed the belief that the hundred degree temperatures characteristic here during the summer would be a big help in condition. Observers close to the team say Hbpman intends to play Quist and Bromwich in the singles and doubles against America, although both Schwartz and Hopman will undergo rigorous practice training in order to be ready to substitute in the event of illness.
