CLAY BIRD SHOOTING. (“Times-Age” Special.) Clay bird shooting enthusiasts are reminded of the competition for the Tisdall Cup which is to be. fired under the auspices of the South Wairarapd Gun Club at the Lake Ferry tomorrow. GOLF MATCH. The return golf match between Pirinoa and Hinakura will be played at the weekend at Hinakura. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr and Mrs Harold Smith are visiting the latter’s parents at Waiuku, Auckland. The many friends of Mr Fred Bird will regret to hear ’of the death of his father, which took place at the hospital, Greytown, on Sunday. Mr Charles Higgison, who was the victim of a motor collision at Greytown, was a brother of Mr Wally Higgison, to whom much sympathy will be extended. BOISTEROUS WEATHER. The weather has been very boisterous during the past few days. A heavy southerly accompanied by heavy rain has caused the various streams to overflow their banks. The high levels are covered with snow.
