Davies, not out, 78). Northants, first innings, 100 (Clay 7 for 49). Following on Northants lost 7 wickets for 79 (Clay 6 for 28). Glamorgan won on the first innings. Kent, first innings, 135 (Watts, 4 for 45, Berry, 4 for 48), second innings, 100 (Parker 5 for 23). Surrey, first innings 190 (Watt 6 for 80), second innings, 1 for 46. Surrey won by nine wickets. Leicester, first innings, 191, second innings 169 (Pollard 5 for 57). Lancashire, first innings, 8 for 365, declared (Iddon 88). Lancashire won by an innings and five runs. Middlesex, first innings 5 for 394 declared (Robertson 91, Hart 105), second innings, 1 for 43. Notts, first innings, 205. Following on Notts made 230. Middlesex won by nine wickets. Somerset, first innings, 116 (Boyes 9 for 57), second innings, 5 for 148. Hampshire won by five wickets. Essex, first innings, 186 (O’Connor 96, Cornford 5 for 48); second innings, 336 (O’Connor 152), Sussex, first innings, 282; second innings, 5 for 242 (Bartlett, not out, 91). Sussex won by five wickets.
Gloucester, first innings, 237 (Allen 72, Howorth, 7 for 85), second innings, 106 (Howorth, 6 for 48). Worcester, first innings, 113 (Sinfield 6 for 45); second innings 196 (Cooper 84, Sinfield 8 for 65). Gloucester won by 34 runs.
