CARNIVAL OF CRIME
NUMEROUS OUTRAGES IN PALESTINE ARAB PRIEST SHOT DEAD SUPPOSEDLY BY TERRORISTS OF HIS OWN RACE (Recd This Day, 12.50 p.m.) JERUSALEM, July 12. There were several outrages during the day. A Jewess was stoned and seriously injured and a Jew who was stoned and stabbed was also seriously ljurt. Three bombs were thrown, two harmlessly. The third injured a Jew. There were seven cases of arson in Jewish premises. An Arab priest, an opponent of the exiled Mufti, was shot dead in the old City of Jerusalem. The Arabs themselves believe the assassins were not Jews, but Arab terrorists, who suspected the priest of communicating with the police. Bombs thrown into a paper warehouse wounded two Jews.
