DIRECTORS TO RESIGN
AFFAIRS OF AUSTRALASIAN COMPANY.REPORT TO SHAREHOLDERS. (Recd This Day, 12.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.’ The adjourned annual meeting of Selfridges (Australasia) Ltd., heard the report and recommendations of a committee of three shareholders, previously appointed to investigate matters relating to the dual management of the company. The ‘ report stated that on the figures supplied by the committee members could see little prospect of a profit being earned during the current year, but expressed the opinion that, under proper management, the company should be on a profit-earning basis within two years. The secretary of the company, Mr E. V. Wood, stated after the meeting that it was resolved to call an extraordinary meeting within a month and the nresent board would be asked to resign. The purpose of the meeting would be to elect a new board. The two managing directors, Messrs F. W. Harper and A. W. Lambell, have already resigned.
