BRITAIN’S RECORD FORMATION FLIGHTS. 1 NEWS KEPT FROM PUBLIC IN ITALY. ROME, July 11. The public so far is ignorant that Italy has lost the long-distance formation flight record. The newspapers have not reported the Royal Air Force’s recent flights. Nevertheless, it is privately learned that Italy intends to challenge the British record, possibly by a flight to the Far East. It is understood a British flight will be made to Australia probably in October.
