TINDILL LAID UP WITH CHILL. OTHER MEMBERS OF TEAM WELL (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 11. The Sydney newspapers are impressed by the All Blacks' speed, particularly among the backs. Tindill is in bed with a chill, but it is not serious. He is unlikely to play on Saturday. All other members of the team are well. QUINLIVAN EXPELLED.' ACTION BY N.S.W. UNION. (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 11. The New South Wales Rugby Union has expelled L. G. Quinlivan for a breach of the rule relating to professionalism. The charges against Quinlivan were in respect of acceptance of money from the Rugby League in 1935. He was reinstated by the Rugby Union in 1937, but the New South Wales Union, in an official statement, said Quinlivan was expelled for a breach of the amateur rules which he had not disclosed when he was reinstated by the Rugby Union.
Quinlivan’s place in the New South Wales team has • been filled by T. Hills, of Newcastle. The selectors have not yet chosen the wingers to replace Kelaher and Moran.
