DRUIDS’ LODGE

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. INDOOR BOWLS GAME DRAWN. The fortnightly meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held in the Foresters’ Hall last night, Bro. F. S. Clarke, P.D.P., presiding. A motion of sympathy with Bro. J. Ellers in his bereavement was passed, the members standing in silence. One clearance was received and two granted on behalf of brothers, 1 Eleven brethren declared on, the sick benefit of the lodge and favourable reports were received as to their condition. One friend was initiated into the Order by the A.D., assisted by Bro. L. Knudsen, P.A. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £27 15s 3d were passed for payment. At the conclusion of lodge business the Druids and the Foresters met in a game of indoor bowls which resulted in a draw, one game each. Later supper was served.
