AIR GLIDING
DURATION RECORD BROKEN IN BRITAIN LONDON, July 10. Two British gliders participating in the national gliding contest at Dunstable, Bedfordshire, ascended at nine minutes past four yesterday and landed at 2.20 p.m. today, having broken the world two-seater duration record of 21 hours 2 minutes held by Germany, besides the British record for any glider of 13 hours 7 minutes. Flight-Lieutenant W. B. Murray, stationed at Farnborough, and Stanley Sproule, an aircraft engineer, piloted the machine.
