GRAN CHACO DISPUTE
PARAGUAY AND BOLIVIA TO ARBITRATE. GRAVE THREAT TO PEACE REMOVED. BUENOS AIRES, July 9. Delegates from Paraguay and Bolivia have initialled an agreement to arbitrate in the Gran Chaco dispute thereby removing the gravest threat to peace on the American continents. Statesmen of numerous American republics, including the United States, have been working for three years to achieve a peaceable settlement and to avoid a renewal of war.
