WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING AT KAITUNA. At the monthly meeting of the Kai-tuna-Fernridge Women’s Institute a very enjoyable time was spent by those present. A very interesting talk was given on the Maoris, and a demonstration on the making of bead bags by Mrs Sharnwebber, who was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The competitions for the month were as follow: Seniors: Madeira cake, Mrs Stempa 1, Mrs Pike 2. Juniors: Melting Moments, Miss L. Pain 1, Miss L. Shaw 2. Flowers: Mrs Sharnwebber 1, Mrs Shaw 2. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Keir and Welch.
