RECORD BRITISH ORDER FOR FLYINGBOATS MILLION STERLING CONTRACT. MUCH SECRET EQUIPMENT. LONDON, July 7. “The Air Ministry has placed the biggest order ever placed in any country for military flying-boats,” says the “Daily Telegraph.” “The type is a Short Sunderland, heavily armed, four-engined flyingboat, embodying much secret equipment. The contract involves a million sterling.”
