On inquiry at the hospital this morning it was ascertained that the condition of Mr Watson, who suffered injuries to his head and hands, was satisfactory. Mr Ward is also suffering from head and hand injuries, the exact extent of which are not yet known. The driver of the other car, Mrs L. B. Maunsell, of Masterton, was cut about the face, but did not require hospital attention. The car driven by Mr Ward was extensively damaged in front, but Mrs Maunsell’s car escaped more lightly.
