Mrs T. H. Groves, of Eketahuna, is on a visit to Wellington. Mrs K. Judd, of Rongomai, is visiting friends in the Wairarapa. Mrs J. Evans, of Rongomai, is on holiday in the South Island. Miss Una Goodin, of Nelson, is the guest of Mrs Harold Goodin, of Carterton. Mrs F. Webb, of Hukanui, has left on a visit to England after an absence of twenty years. Mrs R. J. Carruthers, of Pahiatua, left Wellington yesterday by the Wanganella, on a visit to Sydney. Mrs S. Daniel, of Eketahuna, who has been an inmate of the Masterton hospital for the past fortnight, is progressing well. Mrs J. Burton, of Rongomai, will take up her residence in Carterton shortly, Mr Burton having purchased a farm there. Miss F. Tailentire, of Queenstown, who has been staying with Mrs A. W. Gray, Herbert Street, Masterton, has returned to her home. Professor A. Strong, Dunedin, and Miss V. Macmillan, of the Association for Country Education, Christchurch, will attend the annual conference of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union to be held at Wellington this month. Professor Strong will speak on adult education, and Miss Macmillan will report on the functions of local resident tutors.
