ENGLISH TEST TEAM
NON-INCLUSION OF BOWES. STATEMENT BY SELECTORS. (Recd This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, July 5. In view of agitation regarding the inclusion of Bowes in the third Test match, after his success against the Australians in the Yorkshire match, the selectors point out that they have received an intimation that he was not fit to play in the Test match because of a knee disability. Consequently he was not considered.
