INDIANS TOO FAST. • ASHBURTON OVERWHELMED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, July 5. The Ashburton men’s hockey team was owerwhelmed by the Indian team by 15 goals to nil in a fast match today. The weather was bright but cold, the ground heavy and the attendance large. Scorers for India were Ahmed Khan (6), Abdtil Latif (4), Shahnoor Khan (4) and Fernandez. The match was watched by the English women’s team, which came from Christchurch in a special bus. The meeting of two international hockey teams was unusual, and the members were photographed together. WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATIONS. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY.
