WEDDING

COLLINGE—QUIRK. A wedding of considerable interest was solemnised at the Basilica, Hill Street, Wellington, on Saturday afternoon by the Rev Father Griffin, when Dulcie Linda, third daughter of Mr M. J. Quirk, of Dunedin, and the late Mrs Quirq, was married to Douglas Edward, younger son of Mrs Collinge and the late Mr Collinge, of Masterton. The bride, who was- escorted by her father, was attractively dressed in a frock of cream lace, made with a square neck, and long tight-fitting sleeves. The long tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of cream roses, cyclamen and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Gladys Quirk, sister of the bride, and Miss Gladys Collinge, sister of the bridegroom, who wore cyclamen taffeta frocks, made with very full skirts and silver lame collars and tiny buttons to .the waist. They wore silver lame halos and silver shoes. Their bouquets were of cyclamen and ranunculus and maiden-hair fern. Mr Gordon Kinsington was best man, and Mr E. Quirk was groomsman. During the signing of the register, Mrs Norman Fuller sang “Just for Today.” A reception was later held at the Royal Oak Hotel where about 60 guests were received by Mr Quirk and Mrs Fuller, sister of the bride, assisted by Mrs Collinge. Mrs Fuller was attired in a black ensemble with a shoulder spray of violets and freezias, and Mrs Colliflge wore a black georgette frock patterned in pink and blue and a black fur coat. She carried a posy to tone.

When Mr and Mrs D. E. Collinge left later for the North, Mrs Collinge was wearing a petrel blue and brown ensemble with a brown hat to match. Mr and Mrs Collinge will reside in Auckland.
