Frisco was scratched. Heroic Chief made the early pace, but Giant Killer led over the last fence. Dakwood then raced to the front, and although hotly challenged by Wallace Drake, won by half a head. Giant Killer was a length and a half away third. Pooley Bridge looked like gaining a place approaching the straight, but faded away. Whernside was always in the bunch. A protest by Wallace Drake for alleged interference was dismissed. DOOMBEN CUP. WON BY BROWN LANCE. BRISBANE, July 3. The following was the result of the DOOMBEN CUP, one mile and 3 fur.
