Ottawa, Canada.—Out of 1,635,720 cases of' Canadian canned salmon inspected in 1937 by Canadian Government inspectors, only eight were found to be unfit for market. No salmon may be packed in Canada for the domestic or export market until it has been inspected by members of the Federal Canned Salmon Inspection Laboratory staff, who are all university trained chemists.
