FOREST ASSETS
WORK OF THE BRITISH COMMISSION (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) RUGBY, July 1. The House of Commons discussed the work of the Forestry Commission. Captain Euan Wallace, Financial Secretary to the Treasury, in moving a vote of £BOO.OOO, said the commission had now 215 forest units, containing over a million acres, of which 377,000 acres were under woods. The commission was building up a national asset of immense value.
