Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours nded 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 29.56. Shade temperature: Maximum 55.2, minimum 34.0, terrestrial 26.7. Sunshine, 3 hours 10 min. Rain, 2 points. Frost, 3.7 degrees. Rain fell in Masterton on 18 days in June, the total fall being 306 points, and the heaviest 94 points.
General situation: Pressure has risen somewhat over eastern Australia but is still low over the Dominion. A depression is approaching across the Tasman Sea with a deep centre to the south. Forecast: Moderate to strong north-westerly to westerly winds, rising to gale force in exposed positions. Weather: Fair at first but showers developing later, more especially in western districts- Temperatures becoming ca’ider with snow probable on the ranges.
