NEW COLOURS

PARIS SEES RED. The new colours, according to Paris, are the reds. These range from the deep garnet through rosy necls on to japonica rose and geranium shades. The cyclamen tones are still in favour, and, indeed, reds and pinks are only fashionable when they have a suspicion of blue in them. Blues, again should have a blend of red in theii’ composition. For shoes, blue and brown are the smartest colours. When the skirt is shorter, as it is this season, shoes and stockings are vastly more important, more noticeable. Here, again, are used warm x shades, and “sun-drenched” is an apt description' of the new red-tan colours for stockings. “Tropic tan” and “copperblush” hose are just coming into the market, and those are semi-iridescent and have a delicate lustre.
