PIG BREEDING
CLUB FORMED IN PAHIATUA. At a meeting held in Pahiatua it was resolved to form a club to aid and foster pig breeding in the district. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr R. Bourke; hon. secretary, Mr A. J. Gleeson; selection committee, Messrs T. Biggar, R. Bourke, and A. J. Gleeson; instructor, Mr Neilson; custodian, Mr A. J. Gleeson; committee, Messrs W. G. Callender, K. Pryde and R. H. Croad Junr.; delegate to the N.Z. Pig Council, Mr R. Bourke. The subscription was fixed at £1 10s per member. The selection committee was instructed to purchase a tamworth breed sow. Messrs R. H. Croad, H. Darley, A. J. Ward, C. Rasmussen, W. G. Callendar, T. Biggar, F. P. Moynahan, K. Pryde, B. Fergus, S. Davenport, R. Bourke, and A. Gleeson were elected members.
