(Recd This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. “The Times” Tokio correspondent says regarding the Anglo-French representations that well-informed people believe Japan does not intend seriously to attack Hainan Island, but is seeking to put pressure on France more rigorously and openly to control the arms traffic to China and ensure the greater isolation of Chiang Kaishek’s Government, in the hope of making the Chinese believe that the fall of Hankow will be decisive.
