MASTERTON SALE FAT SHEEP MAKE LATE RATES. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., . Ltd., report having held their weekly sale yesterday when they had a fair entry of sheep and cattle which were submitted to a fair attendance. Fat sheep: The yarding, of only fair quality, sold at late rates. The few stores were in only moderate demand. The cattle sold at late rates. We quote as follows: — Sheep: Fat ewes 16s 3d to 17s 7d; light fat wethers 22s 6d; fat S.D. ewes 17s 7d; light fat lambs 15s 6d to 16s 6d; medium b.f. lambs 13s 6d. Cattle: Fat P.A. cows £6 15s; fat Jersey cows £4 Ils, £5 to £5 ss; light dairy heifers £4 10s; light R.P. cows £5 2s 6d. FARMERS’ DISTRIBUTING CO. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle at their weekly sale yesterday. Fat sheep sold at late rates, and a complete clearance was made at the following prices:—Fat 2th wethers, 22s lOd to 23s 6d; fat ewes 17s 6d to 19s; lighter 16s 4d; P.A. cows r.wib. £4 3s. WRIGHT STEPHENSON & CO. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report;—A small yarding of sheep and cattle came forward -at the Masterton sale yesterday, and was offered to a fair attendance. Sheep sold on a par with late rates, no improvement being shown. Prices were: — Sheep: Fat ewes, 15s 6d to 17s; fat b.f’s.; to 18s 7d; store ewes, to 10s 3d; b.f. hoggets, to 14s.
